Using auto-entrepreneur to invoice for services in the UK?

I am currently a 50% shareholder in a UK company, each shareholder takes a small salary and some dividends. Since moving to 黑料网最新入口 I have been classed as a representative of a foreign company. I have been paying cotisations on the minimum wage that I am paid. As my UK based business partner has very little personal tax and National Insurance to pay, she is not willing for the company to stand the cost of the 黑料网最新入口 Cotisations, and so I am having to pay those myself, effectively leaving me with very little out of my wage. It would seem much more tax efficient therefore for me to invoice the UK company through a 黑料网最新入口 auto-entrepreneur. The effect would be roughly tax neutral as the Corporation Tax saving in the UK would be about the same as the Cotisations paid in 黑料网最新入口. Are there any pitfalls I need to be aware of?  Could I remain a shareholder in the UK company?
