Tax point for VAT purposes for an ME

As an ME, my Social Charges and Tax due are based upon Cash Received date. So far so good.
I am assuming that my liability for registration for TVA is different and based upon turnover on Point of Supply, ie invoice date, rather than Cash Received date? Thanks!
