RSI to Carte Vitale

I’ve done my first declaration and have a paper from the RSI saying I’m covered until July 2012. I was covered by the CPAM before and have a carte vitale which the CPAM say expired 31 Dec 09 - do I just go and mis a jour my carte vitale in a green borne?
