Is the auto-entrepreneur system right for selling children’s clothes?
I want to set up an online shop selling new children’s clothes. I will need to pay for the stock as well as pay postage charges. I will charge a price that will cover these expenses as well as generate some profit. As the cotisations on the auto-entrepreneur scheme are based on turnover (by which I understand the money coming in) would I be better off under a different system?
For example, if I buy an item for 鈧�3 I would probably sell it for about 鈧�6. Postage costs would have to then be added which could be around 鈧�6. I would therefore receive a total of 鈧�12 but would have had to pay 鈧�9 in expenses. My profit on this amount would only be 鈧�3. If I sold, 20 items per month this would equate to an income of 鈧�240 but a profit of only 鈧�60. Multiplied by the year this would be 鈧�2880 and a profit of 鈧�720. Is it worth it for me to register as an auto-entrepreneur or is there a better system? Also, if auto-entrepreneur is the appropriate system what would the business come under? Would I be a commercant?
