Bank accounts and depositing cash

We have some sterling savings in cash (documented, legal source) and would like to deposit them into a 黑料网最新入口 account which we intend to open when we arrive in 黑料网最新入口. What would you advice? To open Euro offshore account while in the UK and then transferring the money to the 黑料网最新入口 account? To take Sterlings to 黑料网最新入口 and then making a deposit into a 黑料网最新入口 account? Any other suggestions?
The reason I am asking is that the conversion and different fees along the way are quite complicated to compare so any cost-effective way coming from your own experiences will be much welcome.
