Are auto-entrepreneurs able to claim chomage with Pole Emploi?

I had heard that auto-entrepreneurs are now able to claim chomage from Pole Emploi, but that the conditions are difficult.
Is this correct and what are the conditions for claiming chomage if so? For someone who has not been registered with them before.
